Additional Information

Join us for an interactive journal club led by Mikayla Scott, BSN, RN, MMCi, exploring the Fluid Response Evaluation in Sepsis Hypotension and Shock (FRESH) trial. We’ll review key findings, discuss how dynamic fluid responsiveness supports more confident fluid decisions, and explore what this evidence means for bedside nurses caring for septic patients.

Attendees will gain practical insights to strengthen clinical decision-making and patient advocacy, followed by an open discussion to share experiences and ask questions.

Journal clubs provide many benefits for healthcare providers including critical appraisal skills, knowledge updates, research utilization and formulating clinical questions. Journal club also yields opportunities for networking and mentorship, professional skill development, collaboration and communication, and lifelong learning and confidence.
