Additional Information

The purpose of this workshop is twofold:
1. To provide new and returning chapter officers with the basic
information needed to fulfill their positions in preparation for the new
fiscal year.
2. Conducting the workshop in this fashion will allow Chapters and
National to identify what new and returning officers and board
members need, and additional ideas for how to effectively and
efficiently provide that information to other chapter leaders.
At the end of this workshop you will:
A. Learn that your chapter positions are more than yourselves – this is
a partnership among chapters, your chapter advisor, and National.
B. Learn about your chapter roles, and how to implement and carry
them out.
C. Experience a healthy work environment culture that you can
implement within your chapters and in your paid jobs.
D. Share with us your ideas and recommendations for providing this
type of education nationally to all chapters
Topics to be covered include:
  • Contract – Region 19 Chapter Page 2 of 9
  • The New AACN Theme and How it Translates to Chapters
  •  Chapter Governance – our rules and regulations
  • Financial Reporting – chapter budgets, reports
  • Chapter Planning – vision, strategic plans, succession planning
  • Education Planning – minimizing costs, contracts
There will also be a post-workshop survey sent to participants a couple
weeks after the workshop to allow time for you to further process your
experience and share that additional information with National.
